I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
